we tried 3 times to sell this dude a belt. Now he’s paying over 7k for an engine... Valves hit the pistons bent the valves...

Mystery tow-in, no note. Long crank so I thought that was the problem. I was very wrong. Leaking brake fluid out of the proportioning valve. No telltale puddle. 7:30am.

...when I put it in D it felt like it had a pedal. Then my pants got a good browning. Always leave a note.

Without giving too much away, car was bought at auction. Turned into a can of worms once they started tearing into it to fix other issues. I was hired after they had owned the car for a few months and was told to put Humpty Dumpty back together. Told them to stop multiple times for lots of massive damage. I think they were so deep into it they had to try to fix it.

Story time!

Had a guy come rolling in with what then a brand spanking new ’10 or ’11 F350 diesel. Beautiful truck, quad cab, spotless. Also puking white smoke out the exhaust and you can smell the coolant in the air.

He wants to get head gasket sealer.

I spent 20 minutes trying to talk him out of it, and that it NEEDS to go back for warranty. He will NOT listen.

Finally I relent, I’ve done my job and told him not to, he asks for the heaviest duty I’ve got.

I give him the large bottle of Blue Devil (32oz?). He grabs a SECOND bottle and heads to the counter. I washed my hands of it and went to do something else.

A few minutes later I get called to by one of the counter guys.

CG: Hey CS! Look outside, you HAVE to see this!

I walk to the front and look where he is point. It’s at F350 guy. He’s in the corner of the lot, 1 empty bottle on the ground, second bottle rapidly being poured....

INTO THE FUEL TANK!

I stood there google-eyed fora second before I started laughing like a lunatic. He fired it up and drove off a minute or two later. No idea how far he made it before that hit the injection system but it couldn’t have been far.

It amazes me how forgiving people are of Toyota's horrendously rusting frame rails. My truck is the same age, with 20k less miles. While rust is rearing it's ugly head in the form of the brake lines and rocker panels, if I had to junk the thing because the frame self destructed, I'd be ripshit pissed and never buy a GM product again.
